PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Bicarbonate of soda, also known as sodium bicarbonate or sodium hydrogen carbonate, is a key leavening agent used in baking. This baking soda is derived from mineralized sodium bicarbonate deposits, extracted using a natural water process and no chemical inputs. When combined with acidic ingredients like buttermilk, lemon juice, or cocoa, it helps create delicious baked goods without the need for yeast.
Additionally, baking soda adds a chewy texture that is key in many desserts, such as chocolate chip cookies. Beyond baking, it's a great household cleanser and deodorizer.
