A zinc-based emollient cream, Sudocrem soothes and protects skin by forming a barrier between the skin and irritants, such as moisture, urine, and faeces, which contain various chemicals. Nappy rash is usually caused by wet or rarely changed nappies, diarrhoea, new foods, or antibiotics, manifested by a red rash on the buttocks. In more severe cases, fever and a widespread rash may be present.
